Rene Laclie & Leopold Raffin

It was in 1889 that Léopold Raffin founded the family firm that carries today as Maison René Laclie. Perhaps by coincidence (and perhaps not) this was the same year that saw France organize the World Fair and build its Eiffel Tower, one of the most famous symbols of the country all over the world, along with Cognac. Léopold Raffin became interested in spirit distillation early on, devoting all his passion and skill to his art, and establishing his products among those of the finest distillers. His were Cognacs of outstanding quality and renown. The unique heritage and know-how he left behind him are still carried on today, five generations later.
